  •  INTER DISTRICT VISITS

Inter District visits are organised to other sister District Societies to foster good relationship and better understanding among professional colleagues

  •  INTER DISTRICT SUMMIT

The idea of a District Society Summit was championed by Ikeja District during year 2002 Annual Accountants’ Conference, by the then Chairman, Mrs. Comfort O. Eyitayo at the joint meeting of District Chairmen.  Certain objective were agreed as follows:

1        To create awareness as to the relevance of Districts in championing

member’s interest at national level.

2        To develop members interest and attitude in selfless service to the

Institute and the District.  This will bring out the leadership qualities/traits for development and usefulness in District/Institute’s affairs.

3        To create awareness and image boosting for the Institute at every

Local/District that host the summit at any particular year.

4          Fratenisation will enable us to exchange ideas and programmes as to

issues of relevance and matter of common interest that affects all or any of the District and/or member(s).  This can be jointly or severally pursued.

5          Healthy competition.  The summit will foster closer relationship and good

competition among Districts.  It will also be a good pedestral to rekindle Districts and Inter-District affairs.  Infact, docile Districts will also ‘wake up’.

6       Inter-District support.  The summit will bridge the gap between old District and new ones.  It will encourage new Districts to establish more quickly since the older ones are available to give all the necessary support.

It was also resolved that, Ikeja District Society [being the Initiator of the idea] should be the rallying points for now. In furtherance of the above, an Inter-District Summit become a focus in 2002/2003 Chairmanship year, and has since then been actively discussed for actualisation.

Ikeja has taken this challenge by championing the hosting of the first Inter District Summit under the enigmatic Current Chairman Mr. H. Akiyode.

The Inter District  Summit is Major event in the current chairmanship calendar as Ikeja is poised to host the first summit in the first quarter of 2005.
